Dance of the Bulls

A celebration in central Mexico display the cultural mosaic and perfec example of evolution and contemporary social construct. The social organization of this semi-rural comunity of San Andres Cuexcontitlan have a singular annual  tradition. Is not unique for a Mexican small town having a fiesta patronal. This is a colonial legacy since Mexico was born However, in San Andres, there is a particularity that sharply distinguish the three generations that participate in this celebration. And that is the interpretation and way to celebrate the same occasion. The amazing display of community effort to be part of tradition has been past for generations. These work still is a pillar of the community but has a new complexity where religion, sports and identity became a new cultural expression.
